August 25th 2010: 11 new landscapes have been added! Have a look at them here.
Bill Hallett is an artist currently living in mid-coast Maine. He works from his studio in Nobleboro. Bill's interest in saturated color stems largely from a childhood spent in Mexico City and the surrounding area. His paintings of Maine are principally landscapes, landscapes/seascapes, and still lifes. His subjects come from rural western Maine, Mt. Katahdin, Deer Isle, Acadia National Park, Monhegan, and Stonington.
What sets Bill's paintings apart from most other Maine artists is his particular way of using strong color. This characteristic feature has attracted buyers from several parts of the country.
